Mod help

So do mods not work with mod.io? I have annoyingly connected my account to mod.io (just give me the damn files!!!), I have Subscribed to different mods, a single mod... (Iv tried MANY combinations and single mods).

I have also deleted both mod.io folders, restarted the game, resinstalled, verified... did a dance... nothing... they never get installed no matter how long I glare at:

"It can take up to a minute for newly subscribed mods to appear."

Are you enabling them in the in game modding menu?

Not sure what you mean about annoying? It auto creates a mod.io account for you and links it to your Steam account.

I think you need to go into your modding menu (press ESC and look for the "Modding" tab), and from there it should tell you a list of all the mods you've subscribed to. You'll have to reload the Space Rig (press Apply down towards the bottom, that should reload it for you) and from there all your mods will be installed. Then just return to the Modding menu, click on which ones you want to try out, press Apply again, and voila! Should be working.

Its annoying because simply look at NMM with the vast majority of games that are moddable besides skyrim and they are all downloadable except adult material without an account, and even then I still get the file after making an account without linking it to steam.

Yeah.... thats literally step 1, but thanks for not reading. I can only hit apply if they ever got installed in the first place, otherwise its either the screen I showed you or "There are currently no mods installed"

Uhh, pretty sure you need to click the button that says install mods and continue from there.

Everything is done in game.

Are you using the built in Steam Web Browser to log into Mod.io or a different one? If a different one, try using the built in Steam one, it should ask you to log in again with your Steam account.

Also, I know you're frustrated but please don't take it out on me. Just trying to help.

If I had not done that already it would NOT say "It can take up to a minute for newly subscribed mods to appear" with a spinning loading animation.... Then waiting up to 20 mins still does NOT do anything... I go on a mission, come back, reload the game nothing. I have attempted other reddit fixes of deleting the mod.io folders and much more like I originally stated in my opening question.

so no the game doesn't seem to be doing it for me, hence why I am here... But I seem to just keep repeating myself.

If you went through the setup process in game, you should be seeing a different menu; an empty mod list menu with a button that would take you to the website via the Steam web browser to then pick your mods.

I can't like, go back to do it over to explain the steps to you though; and I'm not sure what exactly you've done so far.

To clarify are you trying to download mods from the website first, while outside the game? That isn't really how it's supposed to be done.

People are trying to help you , i just wanted to write multiple ways / folders / other things you could try but then i read your comments and thought its not worth it honestly i mean you obviously already tried everything so just ask on discord or use the official support channels

Yes, Iv already went threw all that, only thing different for 1st time setup is the agreement to mods I think a separate EULA... I have been playing it for about a week now and attempting to mod it for the past 2-3 days with testing.
You cannot download the files from mod.io at least not for DRG from their web page, it tells you to log in threw the game, this is the annoying part as it would be fantastic and not annoying if it worked but it clearly is not for me and I could work around this by manually downloading the files... I can not.

Hmmm....perhaps a firewall issue or something network related?

Seems like it's just failing to communicate with mod.io.

Perhaps, I am also thinking it might be something really stupid such as my mod.io account name is not the same as my steam name but that should be moot since you must link your steam account to mod.io

What's with those green messages at the bottom also? Something about connecting your mod.io account; maybe there is an issue there? Can you click on those?

Yes, when I click on them it just manually updates (its to sync with mod.io I think), sometimes it asks to re-authorize steam to mod.io when I do click.
