But if you pick the right class with the right build, it is doable. If you are playing with more people, the enemy will scale to you. If you play with bosco only, you are still in a solo mission with enemies scaled to only you. Just pick any class except gunner (funny how especially the one specializing for killing is the worst pick)
Driller: Pick a scryo gun setup. Freeze the bugs and let bosco quickly kill and shatter them. - Use your sidearm on opressors ar$es.
Scout: Just run and zipline around and let bosco kill the bugs
Engi: Well selfexplanatory. Engi is the best class. :D
And also equip Bosco with mods. Don't forget it, he has mods too.
Most enemies scale with the number of players hp wise as in number of spawns.

Running and shooting is certainly a better option than standing still and getting eaten.
I haven't heard of such a thing as fixed min amout of bugs on any map.
But if you're slow in PE, it will simply spawn the next micro swarm.
Bosco can do there a lot of work.
I don't really know, but it seems like after 5-10min of fight, there is a constant "mini" swarm on me
If you are driller cryo is great, gunner just make sure to use your shields properly and ziplines as a escape route, engie do the engie stuff and make a good area of denial, as for the scout that is gonna be rough so cryo minelets.
As for bosco anything that you can arm bosco with to slow down enemies or freeze them is great.

after promo elimination - was actually spicy because you can die so quick, got dual boss as well

Scout is the worst solo imo, even on point extraction where all he has to do is grappling hook while bosco mines the objectives. His grenades are somewhere between garbage and just too few to make a difference and he doesnt get additional damage tools like driller or engi.
Try Driller Cryo on cave biomes and Gunner for everything that isnt a cave biome. Between zipline hovering + minigun stun so you can lock flyers out of shooting you down and KEKW shields its as easy as it gets.
Light is the most annoying thing to deal with, game is too freaking dark and you dont get any compensation for only having 1 character with flares. Bosco is freakishly slow.
This game overall is not particularly difficult on highest hazard.
This dude literally fly in H5 with no HUD and no bosco!
R & S
1) You can die to bad luck, certain combinations of enemy spawns just kill you. You shield, roller spawns knocks you through the air, before you touch the ground at the position you'll land, a detonator spawns... those things happen.
2) Enemies are faster and their stuns get you more easily. So, you need a build that enables you to break free from grunts encircling you.
3) You run out of ammo before the first nitra. Happens sometimes, especially on mining operations. So, your build needs to be able to handle enemies ammo-efficiently.
The rest really is just skill.
By the way, there is a special achievement if you complete a mission without resupplying. This exists separately for each Hazard Level. If you figure out how to accomplish those - and they aren't too hard - it might give you some additional insight.
I've also soloed every mission type at Haz 5, but as someone else stated, solo Escort and Salvage can be a bear depending on your class and loadout.
Recommendation, start with 4 Egg Egg Hunt missions, definitely the easiest H5 solo out of the gate. Get used to bugs speed and ferocity and work up from there.
Personally gunner isn't a class a playef a lot and I might be really bad with it, my tactic was to stay on a zip during swarm and then sent bosco mining, however on the extraction mission I didn't found the last 2 aquarqs before the swarm was too big, my bad I should have gone for them first.
I don't have all overlock and with the missile launcher and the revolver I have none, I know it's just a +, but I'm not an expert and it may have helped me a lot.
I was of course overreacting saying it was impossible, it is not, some people did it, but it might be a certain tactic, which I think may be to "speedrun".
I usually take time to found nitra but it may be the cause of the "infinite swarm".
