AA TAA (Experimental)
Does anyone find the AA TAA (Experimental) works best smoothing out the edges than the other options? I tried the other AA solutions and this one works the best on my NVIDIA card. I wonder why it is still considered experimental.

TAA tends to cause image ghosting, not a fan personally.

Why is it experimental? No clue.

TAA is known for being blurry but less noisy.

TAA can give better image quality than FXAA (if the devs adjust it right, not all do), at a cost of being a bit more blurry/smeary when objects / the whole screen is moving fast. FXAA is slightly faster but will always look kind of blurry (and text may get minor visual artifacts), whether in motion or not. I'd recommend using TAA in DRG unless you're really desperate for more FPS.

I think it's only labelled "experimental" because they added it in as an experimental feature at one point, later finalized it, and just forgot to change the name.

Interesting that I haven't noticed blurring or ghosting. I played with all choices. Strange. Maybe I just don't notice it. I know what it is. Oh, well.

TAA offers the softest edges.

In some games it causes blurry gfx but i didn't notice any blur in this game with TAA.

But yeah if you wanna go tryhard low settings its actually easier to see enemies with AA turned off. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ edges make things more visible.

The ghosting is most noticeable on transparent things, the ammo counter on the Shard Diffractor is a good example.

Best AA is DLSS or DLAA if you have an RTX card.

DLSS isn't really AA, it actually reduces image clarity in exchange for FPS.

You also can't run DLSS and DLAA at the same time, just fyi.

(That said DLSS does tend to "soften" an image as a side effect of what it's doing; so I can see how you might have gotten that impression.)
