I think this is a bit much of a gatekeeping even for a troll post, assuming this is one.
I do find the communication barrier is the main problem for me as hilariously enough I'm an asian man that really don't like typing chinese on a keyboard, its really not fun doing it.
In all seriousness, don't join their lobbies/games.
Not that I'm really paying attention to cheating in a co-op game. We'l make it to the end either way!
If you don’t mind me asking, what is “cheat dependent gaming culture” you speak of?
That's a poor excuse to try and justify racism.
Pretty sure hatred and racism is the same wherever you go.
There's a trend, or rather a learned habit in a way in most of the eastern side of chinese community where you have to be best of the best. You know, the stereotype of asian people having extremely high standard and all.
That bleeds into the gaming area by making a lot of people try extremely hard to win no matter the method or cost, hence the often toxic, cheating and tryharding players from those side. Because they only care about the end result, winning a game or top scoring. Hell, there's actual market for cheat softwares within the asian region for crying out loud, and it's a terrifying omen for someone that like to have fun in games.
The cheating got so bad that there used to be an arms race for who can cheat the hardest by getting/making better cheat softwares to outcheat one another. Not sure if that's a thing now, but I wouldn't be surprised if its still here.
Whats worse is that nobody really set a standard on proper sportsmanship in video games until very recently, so these "win at any cost" habit is still advocated because well, "you're winning, you must be good right?"
If look for any reddit posts about Chinese players and their rampart cheating issue, you will see that a lot of actual players from that region really despises how these cheater basically ruined everything for them.
Lucky for us, these guys seems to be much more rare in games that aren't competitive or grind hell MMO. Because there's really not much incentive to actually cheat in a game where there's no proper scoring system or PvP matches. You have no idea how much they like to flaunt their account level and scores in game despite sucking at them when it comes to natural gameplay. It's embarrassing.
Which lead to DRG, the only thing they can cheat on are usually level or infinite ammo. Which I know all of you have experienced before if you've seen them, its pathetic honestly, an obvious sign that you don't appreciate a game. Since it's different from breaking a game for the hell of it, because at least that will give you some respect for understanding the game.
You know what, why do people in Asia call people from America westerners, when geographically they are closer towards east than west? This makes no sense really, there is no place on Earth that defines where the east ends and the west begins, it's not like the north or the south where we have the north and south poles that we can use to keep track of those directions.
