Either that or load a bunch of ammo and AoE onto the PGL for swarms of trash.
BC is a bit redundant to take when pump action already has blowthrough and armour break. you could probably do it, but i don't think it's ideal
that leaves the shard, which is definitely the best since it's a perfectly accurate with no range limit. honestly, just efficiency tweaks alone is a really good pairing if you take T1 direct damage and T2 weakspot. it's really good against mactera, menaces, patrol bots, stationaries, basically anything that pump action can't reach
Introducing... wait for it... Feedback loop! Every second you hold M1 down your AoE damage increases by 1 and your radius increases by 0.3. Yeah, it doesn't have a fancy shmancy radioactive field, but you can use it more AND can deal good damage with it. In lazy maybe's shard video he destroyed an OMEN with it like it was nothing and he did this WITHOUT turning the battlefield into a dangerous fallout zone!
edit: My recommended build is 3X112. WP bonus is nice for tanky targets while AoE radius helps for starting your ray of doom!
What if you want to stick with the PGL then don't run hyperprop. It's obvious, I know, but I made the mistake of bringing hyperprop and an ammo hungry warthog into a haz 5+ mission and instantly regret it because my lack of horde clear. Instead, use RJ250 compound. I'm gonna be straight with you, if you want a basic "vanilla" PGL build then you want RJ250. Don't bother with the other balanced and clean overclocks. Just make sure to use the fire mod (which you always should be running UNLESS you are using the unstable or want to suffer because you can't even kill a slasher with the PGL). I also recommend taking at least one ammo mod because even with one ammo mod you will have more ammo than the balanced OC that gives you more ammo (because it's a multiplicative bonus. Man, the balance in this game can be freaking wack sometimes)
The breech cutter does pierce enemies and has a really good armor break mod (unlike PGL which SHOULD destroy all armor plates like the breech mod), meaning it's not necessarily a bad pick, but a boring one because both guns overlap in a similar niche. However, while writing this I came up with the idea of using spinning death for maximum funny potential, but I don't know if that would actually be viable (but it would be funny!)
Oh, and in case you wanted a shotgun build (although it already seems like you got it figured out) I would recommend 1131X. I like to take ammo over the other options because it gives you a massive total damage boost with this overclock, and in T5 I found that both options are viable.
it's laughably small ammo penalty and recharge speed reduction also mean in a pinch you still have the standard shard diffractor to work with without much worry
with some practice quickly shooting plats and swapping to the beam you can on-demand vaporize almost anything for comically low ammo costs, a great option to compliment pump action (or almost anything honestly)
