Questions to switching between seasons
I started playing again when season 5 came out, playing the season 5 pass right now and i noticed that after 20h of gameplay i havent encountered 1 cleaning event from season 3 or like anything else from other seasons.
Is seasonal content locked to only appear when playing that specific seasons pass or how does this work?
And can i switch between season passes without losing my progress in the pass im switching off?
I just wanna play ALL the content while finishing season 5 pass or is that not possible

ty in advance

Content from other seasons will still appear, it's a part of general mission/mutator pool now - same as weapons and overclocks, introduced in those seasons, are part of general item pool.
But if you're playing the corresponding season, it will appear way more often.
So even if you play Unseasoned, you can still get Rival presense and Lithophage outbreaks.

Pretty sure it saves your progress on a season when you switch. Also idk if the frequency of events changes depending on the host's selected season but that would make sense (i.e. more rival tech events when season 2 is selected). Either way, all of the events are in the same pool and for better or worse, you can still find all of them.

Every event has a base chance to occur, typically modified by mission length. Some mission types also have specific chance alterations. You get the default behaviour when playing Unseasoned; a given season thus improves the appearance rate for its relevant events:
-Seasons 01/02 add the Rival Presence warning to more missions, sometimes even replacing existing ones, and have more events to get Data Cells (Comms Router, Data Deposit, Prospector Drones)
-Seasons 03/04 do the same except for anything related to Rockpox (Lithophage warning, Rockpox swarms, random meteors big and SMOL or Corruptors spawning etc.)
-Season 05 then has a higher chance for Core Stones to appear
You can play any season and switch as you like, and your progress (both the experience ladder and the respective Cosmetic Tree) will be saved. So say for example you're a bit tired of all the Core Spawn in every other mission and want to try robots for a change, you can simply switch to Season 01 or 02 and play that for a bit.
