Virgin Zipwhiner
What kind of wine did you make? I'm sure the gunner would appreciate a drink after reviving you.
Pathetic? It's called strategic cowardice...
Some gunners also identify as attack helicopters, and this is their way of being themselves... we should support them for who they are.
...also it's hilarious when someone gets hit by a projectile and instantly falls to their death (unless they're role playing as a spider and have a web of zip lines). Have you played gunner? Their mobility is pain.
RETREAT NOW FOR VICTORY LATER !
But for real, even if staying on zip for fights is a boring strat that you should learn to play without
Its not really like driller that force bunkers on you during a salvage or black box and even tend to make the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bunker you ever saw.
If you see a Gunner do that, it doesn't really affect you and you can even have a good laugh if they fall.
Gunner's primary purpose, is to shoot at things, to prevent downs, and to stay alive so he can rez downs. Not to kite bugs.
He's only slacking, if he's inept at shooting the bugs before they cause downs, or is some waste of a slot inflicting more team damage than he is to the enemies just to score his kills.
They can zipline all they want. About 4 whole times but yeah.
This includes friendly fire damage.
I'll leave you with that forbidden knowledge. Do what you want with it.
Those monkeys hit hard, but are melee only, ziplines trivialise the encounter.
Glad you were finally inspired to write your two sentence thesis
It's only when the gunner uses it as a "one trick pony", and with a gear setup that doesn't really benefit from it, and starts chewing up resupplies for ziplines as soon as they see more than two Grunts, then it becomes a problem.
"Helicopter Gunners" are generally greenbeards yes.
fighting from a zipline during OMEN/core stone event
you dont learn to drop a shield...because youre too safe and too dumb to know better
you dont learn to handle swarms....because youre too safe and too dumb to know better
and instead of getting better..... you actually get worse at the game
by the time you are good enough that those habits cannot be broken by a zipline you dont need it to start with
on the other hand...as a scout, i have frequently broken the gunners shield while he was ziplining high above a fight and watched him fall to his death. so 10/10 entertainment value for me. leaves me with mixed feelings for the zippy gunners
