Can't you just emulate gyro to mouse in the decks settings?

You can turn on gyro in Steam settings, as suggested above.

Source: I've played this game with gyro on Deck.

There are no plans to officially support Steam Deck, it just happens to mostly work.

idk, dunno how to do it. Also i tried some community layouts and for some reason they make a lot of stuff weird like not being able to change the weapon, when i would try to change the weapon it would always instantly switch to scout and switch the scout's one. Finnicky

Why not? Isn't drg well liked in console community? You'd think there wouldn't be much trouble to make support for another device

Who knows DEVs themselves have stated many times in stream QA's there are no plans; For linux and by extension deck.

Go to Controller settings and scroll down to Quick Settings to set Gyro Behavior to "As Joystick".

Because no one cares about Linux, and by extension Proton; and by further extension the Steam Deck.

As a steam deck owner, I cant agree more. And that is good. Devs shouldnt cater to a very low end device just because it has a valve logo on it.

It's better if Gyro is set to 'Gyro to Mouse' or 'As Mouse' instead of 'As Joystick'.

Mouse Smoothing needs to be turned off if you want Flick Stick or Gyro to Mouse to work correctly.

At default mouse sensitivity and default FOV, Dots Per 360 is 4488. If you changed sensitivity or FOV and need to calculate, there's info on reddit here and here

The rest of the controls can be gamepad. Mixed Input works great unless you need to change direction on a zipline.

Step #1: Enable brain
Step #2: Enable gyro aim in your Deck's control settings
Step #3: Keep brain enabled so you don't post any more dumb garbage like this

Where do you get off on making such a wild assumption, seeing as how you've clearly never done any game/software development before?

It's far more work for the devs to add device-specific support than it would be for you to enable gyro aim on your Deck's control settings. That's why the Deck has per-game control settings in the first place.

you say like it's hard but you've replied to yourself, all that devs need to do is simply make controls be compatible with steam deck, they simply need to rebind everything to deck's buttons and be able to notice that it's a deck and not pc. it's quite annoying when i use community made layouts and some buttons which seem to be binded in a way which press regular button cause the ui change to show me pc controls. What i'm saying is that it is definitely not hard to code, you're just fuming out of nowhere

No, you're not understanding at all. I literally just told you it would take A LOT MORE WORK for the devs to add Deck-specific support. There's a lot more to it than just making an official controls scheme for Deck - the game would have to interact with the Steam Input API on a deep level, which would require rewriting a painful amount of code.

So just go set up your own damn controls, you lazy bastard.

PS) I'm done with this conversation. If you don't even read what I typed, you're clearly too dense for me to help you. I can hardly believe there's someone out there who bought a Deck but is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy to SET UP THEIR OWN CONTROLS!

idk man, even the most liked community layout has weird input bug as i said before. When you try to simply change weapon in loadout for some reason it always instantly switches to scout, so what i'm saying is that if the best already existing set controls for game are this messy then ofc i would ask if game is gonna get a support. It seems like you're obsessed with defending devs but i'm not trying to attack them. It's average for AAA games to have support to all kinds of devices and tbh i didn't expect deck to be something niche like you put it

It is, and it's clearly laid out on the store page that DRG doesn't have full support for it.

You weren't mislead, you bought the game based on that description; deal with it.
