Switching Seasons?
Would it be a good idea to switch seasons to get more skins faster or should I just commit to season 5 until max level since everyone is playing it right now?

Do whatever you want. This just affects the spawn balance of the game for the host.

Probably stick to Season 5 for a little longer until people start getting tired of it and starts switching to the other seasons, so definitely until you reach max level on the pass or you start seeing more lobbies starting to switch to other seasons.

It's completely up to you, but I need to ask why do you need skins so fast? There's a million of them to unlock and you can only wear 1 piece at a time so there's really no need to rush it, lol.

Since season progress is tied to you, and not lost upon switching, I personally switch it around every few whatever to try and have a season challenge matching my next mission.

That's a good idea, I'll try that. I'm just not sure how it works if I switch seasons and then get a core stone in the next mission or something... never mind I guess it gives performance points regardless and it's only to a max of 15 for the scrips in S5. But still not sure if it's possible to get plague hearts for example, if I join someone hosting S5.

You can gain data cells, plague hearts, and core stones as they have a chance to spawn in any mission, but the host's selected season alters the weight regarding these things' spawn chances. E.g. someone hosting Season 01/02 will have more random rival events (Comms Router, Data Deposits, and Prospector Drones) alongside the Rival Presence warning being added to more missions and sometimes even replacing the default warning. Similarly a host with Season 03/04 active will have more Rockpox events and Lithophage warnings. As such my guess is that Season 05 being active would give more core stone events. Note that this is all relative to the Unseasoned setting where all the spawn weights are defaulted.

If I select unseasoned, do i get all the season points all at once? Because while in s5 i dont get s1 points... regardless if i do the event or not (right?!)
No, you won't get ANY season points, that's the whole idea of "unseasoned".

Uh? What would be the point then? It's fors those that have maxed everything? (but still, you can endlessly farm season points from credits... why would u lose that?)

Some people have asked for a way to opt out of Seasons entirely, and it's for them.
