GTFO is one of the only games that share enough aspects with DRG while also being more oriented towards horror.

Even then, they're very different games, at the end of the day.

That's about it in terms of horror horde shooters. You've just got various flavors of zombies. You'll have to either deal with less horror-y media genres, or look outside of the horde shooter game genre (which is why I recommend Remnant).

Voxel terrain manipulation is DRG's unique addition to the horde shooter formula, so if you're looking for that then you're out of luck.

Maybe give this one a shot if you haven't already. Not really a horde shooter but it can get very intense during the nights. It does have guns and co-op too I guess.

DRG already has horror. Here's how to enable what I dub DRG Horror Mode:

1. Set music volume to 0, lower gamma. (Optional) Set character volume to 0 as well since they tend to say pretty light-hearted/silly stuff.

2. Un-equip any Overclocks to make yourself feel weaker. You can still take perks if you want, but maybe limit it to 2 passive perks and 1 active.

3. Choose one of two ways to navigate caves: Headlamp only - no flares, or Flares only - no headlamp. Force yourself to follow that rule in your next game.

4. Go into a game solo (no Bosco). Or with a buddy, but no more than 1 other player. Play whatever haz level is most difficult for you that you can still win on.

Congrats, you have enabled horror mode.
