I just tested it myself and the default mod menu began working as expected immediately after uninstalling Mint's mods. If it's somehow not working for you and a reinstall also didn't work then you probably need to manually delete the mod folders outside of where the actual game is, however I don't know where they'd be on Windows, probably appdata or something.
Well I'd need some more information. Did you follow the instructions on the Github page and add any mods to it?
Well the whole Mods_P thing shouldn't be happening, that's odd behavior. I'd try peeking at the mod's files itself to see if it's actually a mod at all.
When you install mods does it properly disable the default mod integration in game or is it doing entirely nothing?
Did you ever find the solution to this? Currently going through the same mods_P issue but want to keep the mods downloaded.
