How to self revive?
I have seen a couple of people in my recent games somehow self revive. It looks like they are using iron will but never go down again. How is this built? Which perk combos would I need to be able to pull this off?
TIA

I think they would use iron will but then get either a health crystal or a resupply so they don’t go back down.

they use ironwill+vampire combo. With vampire you regain health when killing any aggressive grunt greater than swarmer.

Iron will + resupplier is also very good. Just got to make sure to have a resupply pod in close vicinity when you go down.

It must be one of these. The problem though is that as soon as you get health your invulnerability goes away. So can die in a bad spot.

No, you have invulnerability the whole time the perk is active.
When maxed is 12 seconds (correct me if im wrong)

For OP, Iron will + vampire perk or any other source of HP, its a great combo that allow you to get back in hard situation, dont waste it since you can do one time for each mission

If you're the last one standing and make it into the drop with iron will active that will also count as a victory and you won't go down. If there's someone else still alive and not in the pod you will go down however.

Dude, off topic, but I was hemming and hawing over getting Crysis 1 while it was on sale and I saw your review of it and I was like, welp; that settles it. Lol.

Had to do a couple of fixes and stuff to get it running, but that's normal for older PC games; nothing I'm not used to.

Had a great time with it (I only ever played Crysis 2 on 360 prior) beat it on Delta difficulty and it was a blast. Was looking for an old school PC shooter with some hair on it's chest and it didn't disappoint. Plus, I could run it on max settings! Eat your heart out early 2000's PC gamers!

The mechanic behind IW is that you get a bit of HP temporarily but lose it after a few seconds. If you manage to somehow get HP in the meantime (red sugar, ammo pod), you stay up.

For the most potential of getting back up, use the perks Iron Will and Vampire together.

When you go down, look around you;
Do you see grunts or other easy enemies to kill with a pickaxe (powerattack), kill them to trigger Vampire.
Do you see red suggar away from enemies? Use it to gain hitpoints.
See a resupply pod close by, rush towards it, you have just about enough time to get ammo and health to stay alive.
Neither of those situations apply? Then get 1 or more teammates back up before you go down. If you play Gunner make sure to drop the shield on you (and teammates) just before you go down. This way they can get you up savely again.

If neither of the above apply, then you are either playing solo and got unlucky or did something wrong ;)

what you dont want to do;
Dont call a resupply pod, it wil Not come in time for you to survive.
Dont go killing enemies with your gun without gaining hitpoints first.
Dont rush off towards something that is too far away, or you are not sure if you can make it.
