I was mostly thinking about games with "missions" like DRG. I'm not really into survival games.
Kind of a niche game but pretty fun with friends

I'll take a look at gameplay videos.
I'm not into these kinds of games, but you can mention some if they are really good, even if it isn't for me it could appeal to other people reading.
Raft is a nice and chill survival game with focus on collecting flotsam instead of fighting enemies, aside from a single pesky shark from time to time, and exploring Islands and derelict buildings for upgrades.
PlateUp is also very nice if cooking games is your thing, though you might get mad at your friends when stuff gets hectic.
Lethal Company is a ton of fun, even if it does have enemies you either need to fight or avoid. You can also just work terminal duty if you prefer, and then watch your friends sometimes die.

But you're right, I'm not a fan of the constant enemy spawning in Haz 4 and 5, I enjoy it more when it's more relaxed and when I focus about the other aspects of the game.
I don't hate fights, but I don't think I'd like a game like Vermintide for instance, where it seems you're always fighting fighting and fighting.
One game many don't realise is highly configurable is V Rising, you can set almost any aspect of it your liking at world creation.
