How to edit jukebox songs?
Is there a way I can change the files locally so that I put different music in the jukebox?

Not really, they are baked into FSD-WindowsNoEditor.pak - and .pak files for Unreal Engine can't really be modified easily. The best you can do is rip known file formats from them.

It'd be great if the devs allowed us to copy and paste YouTube video links into a text document and drop it in a game folder titled "Custom Jukebox Music". Then whenever you play the jukebox there's a chance it will play the custom music by using the YouTube links you put in the text file.

Not sure if this would be possible as I'm not a programmer, but people have done similar things in other games, like in Garry's mod for example, although it works differently there.

If the above is not possible then an easier alternative would be letting players hold down E on the Jukebox, which would then open a URL text box that we can ctrl + v YouTube links into. This would be a good alternative.

Can you imagine the kind of abuse that would invite?

Search YouTube for "Most annoying sounds"

This community doesn't really have toxic people in it though, so I doubt many would abuse it by putting annoying sounds into the jukebox. Just let the host have an option to disallow other people from inserting custom songs if they think people joining them might abuse it.

Sounds fine, so long as it only plays it for the host, and clients only hear default songs (or their own custom songs).

But tbh I don't see the point.
If you want to listen to music, play that music in the background yourself.

If host custom-music played for clients, the best-case scenario would likely just be that it'd act as an annoyance to everyone else in the lobby. Unless you're playing with friends, but in that case you could just as easily share the music with your friends outside of the game and they could all play that music in the background, individually.
Worst-case scenario, it'd be abused.

I don't think the game needs to implement anything that would make people less inclined to play in public lobbies.

There is a way to do it, but it can be pretty tedious. If you really do want to change your jukebox songs then pm me for info

there was a game, APB, which allowed you to import music into the game and blast it in your car and players around you could hear it. it was abused pretty often. also that game had a midi composer inside it to make your own intro music that palyed when you killed someone. obv most people often for some unbearable white noise to annoy the others even more. they were nice and creative features and allowed for some fun moments but didnt gave as much extra for the game as, yet they allowed some additional abuse to take place. same with texture editors. give this kind of freedom to players, they will paint ♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere.

Even if you change the files only the person with changed sound could hear it.
