Changed to a better monitor, now the graphics are worse?
While changing resolution to that of the new monitor, I accidentally changed the graphics (to ultra), don't remember what they were and now I don't like how it looks. It's got a kind of cartoon-glitchy-blurry thing sometimes

Is there a detect graphics option, or does anybody know which option i should turn down?

I think my graphics were set by the nvidia graphics detect thing, i don't want to download that again.

It looks blurry?

FSR or DLSS might be set to a low quality, or on Auto.

A screenshot of your settings menu would really help tbh.

Well the only thing jumping out at me is that you have Anti Aliasing turned off, which will make it look more jagged, you should turn it on; it costs very little FPS.

Could you take a picture that shows the graphical problem you're having?

i'll try tomorrow

Image sharpening is set to 0 and anti-aliasing is off, this will cause blurriness and jagged edges, turn both those settings up to make the image less blurry and fix the jagged edges.

Also is 1080p your native resolution? If its not and you've lowered it then it'll cause the image to be blurry.

Added some context to the op, i accidentally changed the graphics while i was changing resolution because i got a new monitor.

I'm not sure i can take a screenshot, it's mostly the look and feel in motion that's worse (also i'm getting eaten by bugs)

I downloaded the nvidia thing to set my settings so they should be like before, but it still doesn't look good

The nitra and gold looks less shiny and more dull, the effect of 1 hit on 2 hit ore looks awful, alien guts look worse and the foggy map effect looks worse.

Monitor model would help, some of them are basically TVs and have a whole heap load of terrible post processing monitor side. You can mostly turn it off, if that is the case.

Dumb question, but did you make sure to sync your system's refresh rate output to your new monitor's refresh rate? It wouldn't fix the graphical fidelity but it could help the motion feel less off-putting.

Under the monitors settings "Image Adjust" there are a couple things that stand out from reading the manual:

- i-style (we still doing that, ripping off the "i" branding of Apple but badly?)
- X-Res
- Sharp and Soft
- Direct Drive Mode

I would turn Direct drive mode on first since that sounds like its going to bypass most things the monitor is doing and just let your GPU do the work (Manual mentions it reduces latency). Then play with the other settings to see what happens.

Sharp and soft sounds like eye cancer if it is what I assume it is.

The manual mentions the following max specs:

- HDMI: 1920 × 1080, 144Hz
- DisplayPort: 1920 × 1080, 165Hz

So if you are doing HDMI 165Hz (somehow), pull it back down to 144Hz.

It doesn't let me change direct drive. i-style and x-res are off, Sharp and soft is 3 out of 6

It came with both cables, my friends told me to use the DP one

Manuals giving me nothing on why that would be locked out 😞

Changing sharp and soft to 6 made the caves look alright, station still doesn't look quite right.

Cheap gaming display has usually really bad colors.

I switched from a generic Philips to a 144hz LG and the colors were horrendous in comparison.
