You don't need an official update or sequel https://mod.io/g/drg/m/vrg

How is it? Devs should definitely put some VR support out since DRG would be perfect for it

Yeah, make it in VR so less people will play it.

vr development and support cost are prohibitive for a casual game like drg.

look at the most sold vr games available and look at why they are the most sold, they work exclusively for vr, porting them to pc or console would make them less popular. its the vr immersion element that makes them work that you cant get in anything else

I don't feel like this argument really holds up well. Solo mod developers can port games that dont natively support VR into VR, so why can't the actual devs do that?

Games can support both VR and non-VR modes, it wouldn't kill popularity one bit. DRG is popular as is being desktop only, I dont see how it would be less popular if it supported both.

In fact, there's plenty of games that work both desktop and non-desktop, and for some people, seeing that it supports VR is a selling point to them, and a selling point for getting a VR system.

well lets put it in terms you can grasp, they claim to have sold 8 million copies over the course of the games life time. if you assume that 50% of vr players are also pc or console players. they have a choice by a vr copy or buy a pc/console copy. very few will buy both.

the vr market is just too small for drg. the money wasted in vr development and support is not worth the return.

this is a vr problem. the systems are just too primitive. there was a time pc and console were that way, obviously things have changed. consoles are just preboxed pc's now a days. vr tech will catch up eventually but for drg for now. never going to happen. waste of money.

So let the solo mod developer to the VR version since it's so easy and cheap.

They tried a bit of VR with the game and said that leeches were terrifying lol (don't remember much more though, sorry). I guess it's reall not their priority and I understand why. Maybe when DRG will be nearing its "end"

Because actual developers have to hold what they put out to a higher standard of quality, polish; and bug control.

And I want to see Rival goblin tomboys in missions.
But, somehow, I do not inform whole world about it in General Discussions sub-community.
There's Suggestions sub-community just for that.

I have a VR head set; I love VR.

And the only good games are VR titles designed from the ground up to be just that.

Hard pass, ever game with tacked on VR support are terrible.
