And many long time players have frequently asked for new ways to throw some money towards the developer.
Mark as answer. I bought the DLC even though I don't plan on wearing the cosmetics. They are cool but they aren't really my style. I am glad to be able to support the developers.
I don't mind DLC. Game making is an expensive at base and ever growing cost wise with new technology.
I mind DLC that either gates content or is offered for half finished games.
DRG offers cosmetics for a good game that clearly shows love and dedication, I have no problem tossing a few extra $ their way.
A bit cynical.
Cosmetics don't kill games, lazy/greedy developers and publishers do.
Its like if you got to play Skyrim or something before release, and then when it finally came out with its deluxe edition you say they sold out. Like what? Don't buy it if you dont like it, it has no effect on the game.
In any case I like the look of the cosmetic deluxe addons, but I hope they fix the fact you cannot mix some meshes and dyes.
1. Due to the nature of the game(random gen tunnels that can change mid game) there is a delicate balance that needs to be maintained in weapons, enemies and events(since you can be put in an unwinnable situation simply due to where and when). I at least recognize the need to be careful with tweaking such content. For the longest time some weapons were unquestionable better than others, and in some cases still are.
Fair enough. The oppressor kinda spat over that concept, but it is still valid. Sticking a gun in a game like killing floor that is static is not too difficult, putting a gun in a ever changing landscape like this game is.
2. What do you mean?
Yeah but then the dlc list will slowly become like the Monster Hunter World one if they keep doing that for future dlc ^^
Its an additional source of revenue for the developers to fuel further updates and support.
Game developers are part of a business, and businesses need to find ways to create and maintain revenue.. out of all the potential things they could of done.. cosmetic DLC's are fine.
All that said I won't buy this one, 8€ for four armors and two helmets... Yeah I'll pass.
