Report a translation problem
Weird, maybe check your dash setting, it could be set to hold instead of keep input.
Alright, this sounds like a bug to me. you should prob just report it to the bug section, and see if someone with better knowledge can help you there
you can only manage about 1 bhop and they'll only conserve momentum from something like dash or an RJ250 jump, they can't magically speed you up by themselves
you can also try using the hold space to bhop mod

to auto-jump as soon as you hit the Surface and
https://mod.io/g/drg/m/sprint-by-default-hold-to-walk
to auto-sprint so you dont loose Momentum (but beware the Sprint Mod does not work with the second Wind Perk)
you can verify this by sliding down the window in the space rig and trying to bhop off it. i havent found any way to conserve the momentum gained from the slide. i think the engine just isnt coded for it
which is fine tbh. bhopping would be extremely stupid and unbalanced in a game like DRG
