Give a person a fire, and they are warm for the night. Set a person on fire, and they are warm for the rest of their lives.
Give a person a fish, and they are fed for the moment. Teach a person to fish, and they are fed for the rest of their lives.

... Dwarfurious really needs to delete this old thing. I can't keep making this joke.
I mean, just due to my profession, I am on the one hand bound to teach children stuff they have mostly to accept as a fact (I mean, math isn't debateable ^^), while at the same time encourage and enable them to do their own research and help building up their logical and reasonable thinking.
Only, on the other hand, I am not bound to that when I am roaming online, so I just expect people to have gotten at least a basic education around these principles, and just point out when someone shows a lack of that.
Who you callin' little?
