Is this title worth it in 2024?

Just curious if this game is worth the money given its 3 years old.

A game's age, especially on such a small scale, is rarely an indicator of quality. DRG is not only great, it's gotten better since 1.0. It's definitely worth it.

Great, it's currently discounted. I'm debating whether to purchase the base game alone or include the DLC pack. How active is the online player community? Is it straightforward to find online matches with other players?

Yes its worth and the multiplayer works really easy. The dlc are only cosmetic. You will be able to unlock plenty of other cosmetics ingame as well.

Just checked and there is no ultra wide screen support, so that's a no go for me unfortunately.

Honestly, this game is such a great experience. Even if it could only be played at 4:3 I'd still choose it over any other multiplayer game ever made...and that's coming from someone who has wasted thousands of hours in fpses, mmorpgs, hero shooters, etc.

Totally worth it in 2024, and don't be misled by reports of no UW support. I play on ultrawide (3440x1440). This is my 3rd UW monitor, it worked fine on previous monitors at other resolutions. DRG is my most played game of the last few years and it's just as good now as it was a few years ago. Lots of players and great vareity of missions. Totally playable solo too.

Why do people game on ultra-widescreen lol? Games were never meant to be cinematic movie experiences. I don't think I'd love having to turn my entire head just to see across my screen.

Pretty sure the only place without ultra wide support is The Forge (you’ll get black bars there), but considering it’s just a single menu that you’ll rarely visit, I wouldn’t dismiss the entire game because of it.

Yea DLC is just cosmetics. I literally buy them just because I want to support the devs- for literally everything else they have done right (read: non-predatory). I just consider the cosmetics an extra perk :P
