Even on Haz5 it's still bad compared to other options, but atleast you can make an argument for bringing it.
That is why you make new enemies like the Scout and roof Eggs.

Still much less obnoxious playing with a nuke demo in kf2 than a nuke engie in DRG
But, yeah, it's not necessary on lower Hazards, at least once people get the hang of the game.
It halves your ammo in exchange for doing a better initial explosion and adding fallout.
The idea is that you can deal with a wave by using the grenade, then another wave with the fallout, rather than using two grenades on two waves.
The big downside is you can place two separate grenades wherever you want with other builds. If two waves are approaching you from opposite sides, you can just shoot each of them once.
A fat boy will struggle with ammo if it regularly does that. You must take shots that effectively use the fallout or you're 'behind' compared to most builds. Not as bad as it sounds- we all finish missions with extra nitra, but it's the biggun.
The upside is the fallout will generally buy you free time, and the damage is better for bulky targets if the shots happen to line up.
Also mining potential, if we wanna go there.
... and it's fun AF.
The PGL is so good and has such varied roles it's hard to make a call, but I'd probably point at clean sweep / RJ250 for meta.
it's only good on h6*2 and above because the radiation field actually has time to work through the massively increased enemy density - it also benefits greatly from cheaper resupplies on h6 and above - but really if a weapon only works well in modded difficulties that's a sign it's completely broken at a conceptual level
Its satisfying and fun.
For the meta/overpowered part. No you must have gotten a bad experience with and from this overclock, since the majority of players dont use it. And its not even considered that good.
Its decent, because it got a quick time to kill... but thats about it, and thats mostly relevant on hazard 5 or modded games where you have a lot of enemies close together.
Fatboy OC cant even kill Praetorians anymore in a single shot, although its pretty close.
Its mostly a fun pick, players tend to go back to every once in a while for the big boom. But most players have different loadouts they use more frequently.
no it's a meme OC and honestly tends to cause trouble. people just like to throw nukes around.
That explosion always looks awesome as heck, especially in a huge cavern where you can see the full cloud
