The total file size of every piece of code in the entire game; just about 31KB. The file size of the placeholder model for our character that looks like a child tried to draw a decapitated animator's doll? 336KB (And that's literally just arms and legs for the first person model). It's all in the models.
How tf are people tolerating this?
that's how.
A game like CoD on the other hand has very high resolution textures and of course tons of cosmetics and that takes up a huge amount of hd space.
EDIT: And the answer you highlighted is not quite correct. Model file sizes are negligible compared to textures. Modern games often have 4096x4096 textures plus all kind of fancy stuff like normal maps for important items you see up close, that takes up a really huge amount of space, easily double-digit megabytes per texture. Models usually only have a few hundred kb up to maybe a few mb for very detailed models. Plus in a game like CoD a weapon only has a single model, but each weapon has a ton of different textures.

I have some GZDoom engine games that take up less than 1GB space. Build engine and KEX engine games also take up hardly any space, a few GBs tops.
