How do I get new weapons for my classes?

You buy them after completing their mission in the terminal.

Level each class to 10, 15, 18 and 21 and you'll unlock a new 3-mission assignment on each respective levels. Complete each assignment to unlock the new weapons (though you still have to buy the weapon from the equipment terminal to use them).
