Getting a graphics-based "circle jerk"
I've followed through with all the pinned threads, visited the main website, and done my own research wherever possible. I have modified my client's graphical settings, changed my gpu settings, updated my gpu, and reverted to older gpu's.

I am not an expert all self-taught, but I can run Resident Evil 2 Re at near maximum settings without crashing.

There's something wrong with this game.

I recall trying to play again after a certain update, probably the rivals but my game immediately crashed after walking out of the starting room. I suspect that strange purple spray when the door opens is what's causing my issue here. After following through with a few threads and achieving no change. I thought the issue was my hardware.

I did a lot, including cleaning my GPU and applying new thermal paste. It wasn't until I decided to revert to older GPU firmware that anything changed. After going back, I was able to play a few games until an update happened. Suddenly I was crashing randomly at the start of a swarm, however it was more like a guaranteed crash. I would eventually crash mid-game at the start of a swarm roughly five to fifteen minutes in. This started happening after some update in December or November 2022.

Unfortunately I do not receive any kind of crash reports. That I'm certain has to do with my machine. I genuinely have no idea why my machine goes black with nothing to show for it.

As I continued to make adjustments. I ran into the error that crashes immediately after the loading screen. The one where we see an image of the Spacestation orbiting Hoxxes. I probably ran into other errors as well but I won't be able to recall any of that. Too stressed.

I slowly worked my way back up to the latest GPU firmware and I'm back to crashing at the purple spray again.

There's something wrong with this game.
Thank you for you time.

This game is far more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, which CPU do you have?

Also, getting this diagnosis question out of the way first: What OS are you using? Windows 7 and older aren’t supported

if it works for 999 people and doesn't for 1, the 999 are not the problem.

Your the only person reporting this issue so far, so it's far more likely there is something wrong on your end.

Provide your specs/in game settings/other info if you actually want help.

Run any burn in suites while motoring clocks and temps?

As far as I can tell you are not even a beginner if you are using other games as a litmus test. Instead of repeatable synthetic tests.

You could also try DDUing your video drivers if no one brought that up yet.

Youre on the internet, the 999 is wrong and the 1 is right

Rofl...logic fail.

If the 1 was right we'd all be having this issue, but we're not; are you?

I mean he didn't ask for help. He posted to say there is something wrong with this game. Seems like a waste of time to offer suggestions.

I'm not sure what even might be wrong here if things are going wrong for just this game. That said, it seems you missed the first step for troubleshooting any steam game, that being to verify your game files. You can also then try a reinstall. Then backing up followed by deleting save files in the event they are corrupted.

And the joke goes wide!

Runs flawlessly on a 10 year old GPU with less VRAM than your mum's facebook machine
I don't know what to tell you
I say flawlessly, firing off 2-3 fat boys in succession does cause some wicked artifacting on DX11 but hey, just go easy on the nukes

I like your profile picture... it's nice...

But something tells me it's a problem with your computer, since we don't experience that... or the launch settings you chose, or the ingame settings you have.

I'm on Windows 10
I'm using a seventh gen, however this chip is literally too powerful for my MB. I have to underclock to avoid overheating.

I am a beginner, I'm just very thorough and I did my studies.

I'll have to look into DDUing. What exactly am I looking for?

Verifying doesn't do anything. Says its fine. Verified more than once, including before this post.

I have already reinstalled drg.
