Why are there so many disconnects in DRG multiplayer?
On average, in every 2nd game i join i get disconnected at random points during the mission, even though my internet is working fine. I don't have this problem in any other game, i.e. i can play Team Fortress 2 for hours without a single disconnect due to connection loss.

When i host games in DRG, i have no problems, but the other players sometimes leave suddenly. Im guessing they got a disconnect/connection loss. What is the reason for this? Bad network code?

I mostly play solo because of these problems. I might take longer to finish a mission, but i also dont get random disconnects that erase all progress in the mission.

EDIT: Im not in a wireless network and im not using mobile internet. All my connections are over good old reliable cables.

Many people host with bad connections. Like in team fortress its dedicated servers while in DRG you are at the mercy that the host have a good connection.

Also check the ping of people that join. Many people have pings that fly up and down probably playing with wireless.

That is probably true, but the network connections in DRG seem to be exceptionally delicate.

What makes this issue much worse is that you don't get the option to reconnect to the host. Many multiplayer games offer this option. It is really strange that DRG doesn't have it.

I have played over 100 hours now and only had a single disconnect. Maybe you got really unlucky. Try to avoid long distance hosts.

Also. A cable connection can be more stable. But it does not need to be. There area myriad of issues that can be wrong with your connection settings. Or maybe you have an iffy provider.

Where are you from?

If the devs knew why they would've fixed it already. It's an elusive issue that's compounded by the fact that it's likely now one single thing.

I used to be fine myself and never had any disconnects, now suddenly a couple weeks ago I started having the "sudden disconnect while playing as client" problem. Didn't coincide with season start or any other patch, what it did coincide with though was my ISP randomly dropping me far more often than ever before. And while I seemingly don't disconnect from the internet when I get dropped ingame I'm far more certain that my ISP is at fault than that the game somehow changed for me overnight without an update.

As you I'm fine hosting, and people don't drop any more than when I was hosting during season 1. I've played multiple missions with the same group over the course of several hours with zero disconnects.
