Surprised bringing Doretta's head back ain't a cheevo
Seriously, feels like it's something that would and should be one.

Unless you start gunning down someone else who is doing it, there is no problem, is there?

No.

it's intentional, the devs said multiple times that they won't attach any sort of reward to bringing back dotty, it should be something you willing do because you want to and not for some specific reward

If you save Doretta then after mission you can find her head on Space Rig near Equipment Terminal. That is your cheevo.

This logic doesn't jive with the rest of the cheevos for the game.

Doretta's head is the ultimate litmus test for whether a Dwarf is capable of self-governing.

To return Doretta is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognise as the correct, appropriate thing to do. To return Doretta is objectively right. There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to return Doretta. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon Doretta. Therefore Doretta's head presents itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not returning Doretta, no one will fine you or kill you for not returning Doretta, you gain nothing by returning Doretta. You must return Doretta out of the goodness of your own heart. You must return Doretta because it is the right thing to do. Because it is correct.

A person who is unable to do this is no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them with a law and the force that stands behind it.

Doretta's head is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of DRG.

And what other “cheevos” would that be? Not every thing you do needs an achievement, you save Doretta’ head because it’s the right thing to do, simple as.

"Ah yes, I got 3000 score in 100 barrels because I wanted to and not because I wanted the cheevo"

the rest of the achievements? what other achievement is there for doing something very pointless, I guess you could argue for the "haz 4-5 no resupply" ones but the going down part is an actual notable achievement or maybe the barrel hoop one but thats it's own seperate minigame and not some meme you can preform in-mission, hauling a heavy object 80m to the pod isn't anything noteworthy

also it's clear the devs don't feel like putting a reward on it either as I said before:

Missions - Escort Duty - Reward for saving Doretta

They don't want to introduce any; you should save Doretta because you want to, not because there's a reward for it

Missions - Escort Duty - Reward for saving Doretta's head

No, they don't want people to feel like they have to save the head, it's just for the sense of pride and accomplishment

You're telling me you don't have the ride the mule cheevo? :seriousboss:

The devs aren't gonna add more achievements because then the number of achievements wouldn't be the funny sex number anymore

And you save Doris because you want to, not because you get an achievement for it. It’s not the same.

No one is saving the head if it doesn't give you anything. I will continue to let that scrap bucket's head crumble as it served its purpose.

A lot of the time, doing good has no reward at all. It just makes you a better person.

And in this world where you are working for a company that does not care a whit about you, in a world where everything is trying to kill you, a small bit of good is, well, good.

First, we're talking about a video game here buddy. Let's be real here. Second, there are a ton of philosophical writings on this but the short version is in the real world there is no such thing as true altruism. Every time you "give" to something or someone else, you do so because you benefit either directly or indirectly or expect to benefit in the future.
