What does "r" mean?
I've been playing Deep Rock since I think Update 13, and have recently got back into it after a long break. One of the things I've noticed is that people now constantly just say "r?" in text chat, which is relatively new as far as I can tell.

While I'm fairly certain it means "ready", I'd like to double check, as understanding what your team is saying is rather important in this game.

If I'm hosting and both primary and secondary are done and I type "R?" you have about 15 seconds to object or we're bolting. Outside of voice communication it's the quickest most efficient way to get team consensus on ending the mission.

It means rock. You need to reply with "s" for stone.

R= Ready to Leave

Used in lots of games as a short hand way of saying lets go, or lets begin the "boss fight" Or start the Teleporter event (RoR2)

Funny enough I started doing it on my own for the first time in DRG. Took some time but sure enough it seems to have become a normal thing for a lot of players.

I was just being lazy when responding to people asking if we were ready in full sentences. Didn't know it was thing in other games but not surprised. Ever tried to read the forums of an mmo/rts you aren't familiar with? Like deciphering a cryptic message

It's a common shorthand for gaming in general for "Ready."

And i've been using "g?" for "go?" all along...
