How are you not keeping yourself motivated with the constant and overwhelming serotonin production from knowing that you'll soon "100%" the game?
If you want to do 100% of the achievements in DRG YOU are forced to get this one, really not that hard to understand.
But the echo chamber in this community is so loud you can't hear yourself.
One single critic at the game and all of you lose your ♥♥♥♥ cuz free update = suck the devs boot.
Most games do free updates, that's how live service games work it's really not worth licking the devs boots for a update.
IF. But it's not a forced thing since it's entirely voluntary. Beyond that, if you're not motivated enough to get the achievement you don't deserve it, thus go kick rocks.
No idea what your ranting about updates or boot licking is, I'm just pointing out how pathethic it is to whine about achievements that don't matter whatsoever. You don't get to make any demands about anything if you yourself decide to pursue some goal and then decide you're not up to the task.
I mean... yeah if you WANT to complete 100% you have to sit through the achievements you don't like doing. But that is true for most games. I encounter achievments/trophies/etc. I absolutely loathe at a regular basis, but that's just what it entails when ya want to 100% that stuff
Giving yourself a goal and then moaning about the first roadblock that comes your way ain't it
Edit: As long as they are reasonable, which 100 Solo Missions are imo. You can always weave a quick Haz 4 1/1 Egg Hunt in the Salties in between other stuff. Doesn't take long.
Salties, Radioactive and Crystal seem to have the most simple terrain gen so you don't need to look into every corner for stuff.
If I wanna do a quick mission I just look for 1/1 Morkite or Eggs in Salties/Crystal
Achievements should be something challenging to achieve... not baby food you'll only be finished with when you've already become a toddler (because of how stupid long it takes to get it)
I get it tho I hate nonsense achievements that outstay their welcome, nothing will beat that one that took 3 IRL years to get in Banner Saga 3. Or anything dependent on you playing 3000+ hours of multiplayer.
I personally got this achievement in the process of a few weeks during which I had zero internet access, so not much of a choice on the matter for how I'd play DRG.
Stuff like Car Pool and Roller Coaster is a lot more annoying to unlock imo. Going out of your way to do stupid and tedious stuff, especially if you have to coordinate with three other players is a lot more painful.
I don't want anyone to get what I'm saying wrong. I still love this game, and I'll still play it despite this achievement. I just hate how there's this super grindy achievement that forces you to play in the least fun way possible. If I'd known it was going to be this boring, I probably wouldn't have gone for 100%, but I got every other achievement now, so I'm committed.
Click TAB - select a mission you want to play,
Click Solo,
Then click Join and connect to any available mission you just chose.
Happy mining
I tried that and it didn't seem to work. I'll try it again, maybe I did something wrong last time. Thanks for the advice!
It's a crime to push players play solo in such coop focused game
- Click on the mission you want to start/join.
- Click on Solo. It must be highlighted in brighter yellow now.
- Don't start the mission and click join instead.
- Choose a server from the list and join a game.
- Finish the mission.
- The mission will be counted as finished solo mission.
- Check the counter and repeat this until you get the achievement.
Enjoy
