Stick near your teammates
Place shields proactively, don't wait until one of your teammates to go down
Don't hang from your ziplines during swarms
leadbursters can be thrown at a bulk det for massive damage
you don't always have to shield a downed teammate, if it's safe to quickly clear the area then revive do so or if you have aggressive venting minigun you can overheat -> revive safely in a lot of cases
second wind counts riding a zipline as sprinting so if you like that perk good news gunner works well with it there
if you're on a zipline and feel your about to get knocked off mash e and you can re-grab the zipline the second you fall
:)
As said before, unless you know your teammates well, make sure that your secondary can cover what you primary does not. If you play minigun, use an aoi bulldog to get rid of swarmers (magic bullets for extrafun). If you run AC with carpet bomber, your sidearm needs to have good focus fire and single target damage.
There are some unique build you can run, but that's a general tip. Also, don't forget your shield, it's surprisingly easy to forget you can use it.
I will quickly explain why I don't encourage OP to do that. This start will work up until haz3, but as bug spawns ranpe up, your team will risk getting overwhelmed as the agro will go to them. Furthermore, aerial bugs and spitters will prioritise dwarves on zips, so it's a good way to get shot.
It's a situational tactic which we really discourage, cause a lot of your work is going to be on the ground. Also leadburster is my fave grenade, but incendiary works better for swarmers.
It's not a bad advice, but I want to stress the situational part of it
BRT7 is a good weapon for a stun.
Main weapon is what your playstyle is.
