What does Beer do?

I know about the beer that has the green +<effect> text, that tells ya what it does. However, I gotta wonder, why would i buy all the other beers in the list? They give ya a random description, is that text they have supposed to give a clue as to what they do?

They're for fun. the Big picture beers have effects that carry into missions, only one will be available. all the others is for fun in the space rig.

They are just for fun in the lobby, they have no effect in mission.

The wiki has a full list of the effects. But they all use their own special currency that isn't used for anything else, and they only work on the space rig, so you may as well try them all for yourself. It'll be an exciting adventure.
Oh yeah, except randoweisser. That one just randomises your equipment. Be careful with that one. Might be a bad surprise if you don't see that coming.

1) Funny beer is normally for fun.
2) Daily beer with +effect text is for buffs.
3) All beer can get you increasingly drunk, which makes missions harder by just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you up. Though drunkenness decays throughout the mission, albeit slowly.
