It's just as powerful as the Minigun in its own way.
There are definitely good ways to use the autocannon, or I wouldn't see it used so much in Haz4/5, but it's not a single target weapon like the minigun, best to use it on clusters of enemies.
Also, I'm not sure if it's been changed/fixed yet, though the minigun uses 2 ammo per bullet, which seems to be a limitation of unreal engine (bullets would vanish randomly if the fire rate was kept that high, same with the Zhukovs) which makes it seem like it has double the total effective damage if you run the numbers in loadout.
like Chibbity said you have to focus on the AOE with that. It is literally the weapon where you cannot miss the broadside of the barn. Just point and shoot, forget aiming.
Yep... as enemy densities become higher, the better it gets. It's still home to the most busted OC in the game, NTP, which even after recent nerfs is still OP at higher difficulties.
Still somewhat baffling why the devs lie about minigun stats instead of giving the real numbers though. Or at least not lying more and claiming it does half its real damage so the dps and total damage would be accurate. GSG are mysterious.
Those who are actually dedicated enough to care about such things will look up the true stats themselves or download one of the "real minigun stat" mods to do so.
For the vast majority of players, the Minigun and Zhuk stats being "false" doesn't affect them. It's still incredibly easy to mod the gun according to what you feel it needs.
I expect to see the auto cannon getting effed entirely in the next season. Everything but NTP feels bad to use. Still the same issue as before the nerfs/buffs.
