I would finish the mission and then go back for it; from what I've seen, it doesn't get aggroed as easily as Bet-c or the Korlok weed.
I've enjoyed fighting Corruptors so far, but knowing when the best time to engage it is should be considered before fighting one.
Color me suprised.
In case it still gets triggered, let it roam away.
Also just something worth noting for future Escort missions, have your Drillers dig out tunnels to the Heartstone first before even activating Doretta as the map's usually going to be in a straight line from where Doretta's facing in the crate, it can help mitigate issues such as the Corrupter or any other pre-spawned enemies such as the Korlok or Crassius, better to clear out these enemies out before even starting the mission proper.
Bosco jank aside (if he shoots when the whole core isn’t open just ping the corruptor to have him vac) i think solo corruptors are very easy given you can spam foamer and never need to backtrack to a vacuum, once every armor layer is gone it dies in like 2 seconds so its basically just a foaming simulator mixed with a crappy game of jump rope

Make it come out of meteorites if we don't deal with them in time.
It occurs to me that I have fought like 5 now, how tf have I not tried to sink an ammo pod on one of these snot stacks for shifts and gigs yet.
That said, I have not been paying attention to how it moves, it does strafe and stay often enough that one could predict a sweet, meet and greet collision course...
werks on my machine
