Where are the Corruptors?!

I've done around 30+ missions
Yes I am aware they spawn in none lithophage places.
Yes I'm aware its a 50% chance with meteor strikes.

I've only ever seen 1

Why even do that in the first place?
It's basically the main character of your new season, similar to the rival nemesis.
Why not just make it just as common?

Had a fun encounter just now: lone Corruptor in the ice plateau.
Team starts washing and vacuuming it. And events now unwrapping:
MC announces swarm attack.
Seconds later MC says about meteor shower..
Then we all hear whale howling and begin evading Bulk.

Meteorites hammer all around us. Bugs and trijaws fly around. Bulk one shot stomps teammates. Corruptor belches and whooshes in all directions. Great fun!

That's been my experience. I haven't even seen a big meteor land, either.

Can someone explain the 'logic' behind this?

What I've been told is that its based off lore, the corruptor goes out to corrupt other parts of Hoxxes so thats why they aren't in the lithophage areas

Wouldn't base that as 100% a fact though.

Except that's EXACTLY how it is, you'll see Corrupters outside areas with an active outbreak so missions without a Lithophage Outbreak there's a chance to encounter a Corrupter.

i've seen like 5 of them maybe over 30 missions

to intentionally keep you from completely farming the event bonus in a single day, like we did last season before mini meteors were added.

One big difference between nemesis and harold that everybody seems to forget, harold is only part of the new stuff
the main attraction of this season is that the rockpox is a bigger threat with new enemies including harold.

I like that they're pretty rare. Keeps them from getting boring like when like every match had a big meteor.

They seem about as common as the big exploder dudes?
