Can't save settings changes

I primarily play with a controller, and for some reason every time I make a change to the controller settings, like removing dead zone, and increasing look acceleration and sensitivity, as well as lowering head bob and screen shake, the settings are reverted back to what they were before when reopening the game. I just prefer using a controller over mouse and keyboard. I've tried unchecking read-only in the WindowsNoEditor folder, but that doesn't save as well. Does anyone have any suggestions cus it's just an annoying thing to deal with every time I reopen the game.

It's prolly inheriting the settings of the folder/folders above it; which are set to apply their settings to all subfolders.

Do you have any idea how I might fix that? I'm utter trash with computers lol
