This like battle pass thing is really tedious
So i'm really not too sure if maybe i'm doing something wrong or i'm just playing the wrong missions but this battle pass feels so insanely slow to get through. Like i mainly play my missions on at least haz 3 - 4 and i have to play like 4-5 missions to level up the battle pass if i dont get events or anything like that. Then you can get the occasional corrupter which is cool for xp but like even then it would reduce it by an almost insignificant amount.
I feel like if i play any other game for 1 second i'm just not going to be able make all 100 levels with all of these rewards.
Easy solution is just decrease the cap maybe by like 500 rep, it would mean that even if you're more of a casual player you can still get more levels done but its still enough of a challenge to actually keep playing.
Or better yet just make more refreshing quests so that you could potentially farm the rep. Now i'm definitely not the type of person to promote buying levels on battle pass. So this would make an avenue for people to somewhat "catch up"
I get it miners, i want to rock and stone as much as the next dwarf but im tired of accessing good rewards through lost gear.

Fortunately, the season passes don't matter. Anything you don't unlock during it will be rolled into the normal loot pools afterwards. It's honestly just getting the cosmetics early.

The seasons also last over 6 months. There's no rush.

You're probably trying to get it done too fast. Seasons last a very long time in this game so you can afford to be slow. We don't know exactly when season 4 will end but I'm sure it won't be before next year.
Samaldafadra Jul 29, 2023 @ 11:28pm
You still have 5 months to do it.

I really didnt play that much and I'm already lvl 63 something there. Doing the dailies.. getting a lot of hearts.. playing a couple hours per day for like 2 weeks.. is enough to almost complete it.

And we arent even halfway through the season.

Sure if you only do simple mining missions that take 30 minutes without getting hearts anywhere. Sure, could take some time.

I'm amazed that there are people that care about it since the whole game is full with pretty useless cosmetics. One beard.. one helm.. one color more... would kick it for you ? Really?`.. Man.

Its not.

You can grind it out in 40-50 hours if you only late join and stack the boosts.

That still left months of time, with me playing occasionally.

So is the new definition of casual 10 minutes a week or something?

Think of it as auxiliary to your normal gameplay. It's not really something to focus on or try to get "done". You have literally forever to get everything from the season, and any previous ones.

Yeah it's meant to be chewed slowly for the 5-6 month duration. Not crunched out in a week. You might feel pressured because some people have way too much free time and finish the whole thing in the first week, but they're the exception, not the rule.

There’s still 5+ months of the season left, no rush.

Also, if you really want to grind it, wait for an event like the Summer Party or Halloween event, where you can get 2x season pass experience in each mission.

You could also do the little objectives that show up on top of the pass. You can change one of them every 24hrs. If your goal is to progress the Performance Pass, you should try to do those. I understand your point of view as I also play for the sense of acomplish a goal short/long term along the fun.

As everyone said already, there is no real hurry or sense of urgency; because the time remaining and you dont lose the items forever. Just have fun, enjoy the game and find other goals to pursuit in the meanwhile if you dont want to do those specific ones. Your bound to make progress as long as you play.

Once you finish all the daily missions for a scrip you progress faster anyway, since it has to give you a 2500 point minimum and a 3750 if you lucky. You can reroll the 2500 once a day to try and get a 3750 if you want to minmax.

Would you also be complaining if you could burn the pass down in a weekend and there was "nothing left to do". DRG has one of the better battle passes, because you can go off and do something else. It will bank missions for 3 days and you get more than enough time since the seasons are long.

Keep in mind, usually by the end if the season, everyone has completed it. It’s very accessible given the timeframe. Another thing to keep in mind is that there’s going to be mini-events like the easter bunny or elf chasing that double your season XP yield. I promise it’s nothing to stress about and you have plenty of time to play other games in the meantime.

It's designed to give people something to do when playing. I mean if it was done any quicker you'd just have more people demanding more content sooner. I don't know why it's so difficult for people to just play the game without some arbitrary goal expected to manage the pace of play for them. I take a glance at the dailies and I bring up the server list and if something looks interesting ang gels with the dailies, bonus, otherwise I just play what looks fun or has just started. It seems it's either whinging that it's too much of a grind or there aren't enough rewards to work towards.

Every day you get a new season event mission, that tells you to do x-missions or play x-times with a class. These give a huge boost towards your progression. Seasons are intended to keep you playing either daily or a few times per week to get these bonuses.
Outside of that, you realy can only progress quickly with double exp missions, and during holliday events where there often is a season point bonus. Every season we have had 1-2 of these holliday events that gave double season progression, so thats also something to look out for.

But brute forcing through the season level progression is going to be rather slow.
Smetrix Jul 30, 2023 @ 4:23am
I always just wait until all of the challenges are ready, then just get them all done in one go. Rise and repeat, and at most it takes 1 1/2-2 months.
babuk.fracal Jul 30, 2023 @ 5:05am
Not grinding the battle pass and focusing on dailies can be a way of doing it
(I did complete the battlepass rather fast but thats mostly because I play often, I am sure a lot of people still have plenty of time to complete the battlepass)
