[i finally got the achievement] whoever made the barrel hoop achievement should be banned from achievement design forever imo

EDIT: I finally got it and 100% DRG, making it my 50th perfect game. pog. Can't delete this post though.... ah well.

I've already wasted 5 hours on this godforsaken minigame i hate so i could finally 100% what's otherwise an excellent game that i love, but by god is it so dreadfully awful.

Had another guy help me throw mugs into the hoop to get the last few points, and when we're 7 away he ran into the barrel and ruined it. It was an accident so i'm not mad at him, but i'm still pissed that this damn game made me waste an hour of my time for nothing.

god, i hate the barrel achievements with a burning passion. Please tell me i'm not alone.

and yeah, i'm sure the "iT's aN aChIevEmeNt dOn'T hAnD tHeM oUt1!!11" crowd is gonna ♥♥♥♥♥ about me being a "fake gamer" or whatever, but i don't care. Good achievement design is something that has a bit of challenge without being a grindfest (like "Minimalist" in the Resident Evil remakes) - but this one doesn't do that. It just says "go play this minigame you probably don't like and then get really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good at it for a single achievement, glhf.". I don't like the other barrel achievements, but still think they're designed better.

It is one of those annoying achievements. But once you find the groove in trying to do it, then you'll eventually get the achievement finally (hopefully that is).

Pay attention to the pattern. If the hoop is moving too fast, don't kick and wait for it to slow down a bit until you feel it is the right time.

Also, if you try to throw an empty beer mug into the hoop, you can get some points and it will count the points. The kicks taken won't count.

I practiced until I was fairly confident in my barrel skills, but even then I was 150 points shy of my achievement. So I spent 2 hours throwing single beer mugs into the hoop, jumping in to get them, climbing back up, and repeating until I unlocked it.
