As you know, each deep dive has 3 stages. The hazard levels are as follows:

Deep Dive Stage 1: Hazard 3
DD Stage 2: Hazard 3.5
DD Stage 3: Hazard 3.5 (again)

Elite Deep Dive Stage 1: Hazard 4.5
EDD Stage 2: Hazard 5
EDD Stage 3: Hazard 5.5

If you can handle Haz 4, the regular dive will be a piece of cake. Nitra is plentiful, just make sure you have time to complete it, as they usually take at least 40 minutes!

Elite dives are trickier, make sure to conserve nitra, as you might not get a lot later on. If you can afford to delay a resupply until the next stage, do it.

If you're used to Hazard 3, normal Deep Dives should not be an issue at all, considering their stages never go past 3.5 in difficulty ( first stage: H3; second and third stages: H3.5 ); nitra is carried over to the next stage, just mind that in general.

Elite Deep Dives start on Hazard 4.5, then increase to 5 on the second stage and finally 5.5 on the third, so I'd just recommend getting used to the game flow of those two hazards before diving, if you want to have a general idea of what to expect.

Do mind that all Deep Dives may have modifiers and mutators embedded with their stages.

They usually get done in 30-60 minutes so grab a drink etc.

Don't die, be quick, don't trap yourself in a room that could be dangerous to fight in, hoard all the nitra you can get, and if you're playing solo don't hesitate to overwork Bosco.

Don't worry. :)

Try to make a sustanable build, one that does good damage and don't run out of ammo fast.

Also sometimes EDD can say "f you", like i still remember a EDD with the second mission to gather eggs and kill 1 dreathnought and as soon you exited the starting cave spawned a bulk and the dreathnought was right next to the exit and it had a hive in it, did that EDD 4 times and failed each time.

Dont waste ammo/Nitra needlessly. You can store up nitra for the next stage. If your stage is done, dont waste grenades or turrets when all you have to do is hop in the can. You gont get releoaded between stages.

ALSO, wait till Loyd offers a good beer, like Red Rock. It carries over to all 3 stages.

In EDD, if you manage to go to stage 3 with a lot of nitra
USE
YOUR
AMMO

bugs won't hesitate to shred you so use your weapons to their full potential (this advice can be applied on drg has a whole but in this context its pushed to the max)
thanks for the advice lads! Rock and stone!

ROCK AND STONE!
Everyone in here talking about conserving ammo on an EDD... while I can't remember the last time I finished one without like 300+ in the bank. I typically entirely skip mining nitra on most stage 3s.
