Only thing Bosco is slow at is helping you to kill a cave leech when you're trapped. But it does help you mine minerals from up top when you instruct them to.

Theres only three things bosco is good at: Digging ores/compact dirt (with the digging upgrade), providing light (with the light upgrade and you're not a scout), and enabling extra lives. The first two things replace additional extra lives though so that ruins it a bit. He is utter crap at everything else so I dont rely him for anything other that
