Playable in mainland China?

Hiya folks,

I’m currently living in mainland China, I’m considering getting this game but I don’t want to have to depend on a VPN to play it. Could anyone confirm whether or not it’s playable without a VPN in mainland China?

It is p2p, which means it depends where host is. There are a lot of Chinese hosts, ping varies greatly, from normal to bad (I am not from China, sometime play with chinese players).

So yeah, it is playable. Also, you don't need perfect ping like in pvp shooters.

If you want to play with other countries then it is not as good, may be East Asia is ok, but definitely not Europe/America, it will be >>200 ping.

Please dear chinese DRG players if you use VPN use a region you have decent connection to, its annoying to connect to an english host only to find out you have 300ms ping to china.

I know this is just a joke but DRG above 150ms gets unplayable, especially as scout.

There are no servers, since lobbies are P2P so you connect to other peoples games.
Assuming you have enough Chinese players that play, and your VPN does not direct you to the other side of the world. Then yes it would be perfectly playable.
I dont know exactly how many Chinese players are active right now, so this is hard to judge until some people from your region comment.
