Can i get some Flamethrower builds.
TL;DR I'm looking for builds for the OCs Compact feed valves, Face melter, and sticky additive. Also, A build that has some "oomph" to it, and I also like setting things on fire quickly to abuse heat spreading.

Hey guys. I've taken a strong liking to the flamethrower, but I need help from you guys. Plus I am way to tired to continue testing builds and i want to go to bed.

Face melter: Cool OC but I struggle to use it. The lower mag size with the RoF boost makes me feel like I am pissing out ammo, and when I don't take the reach mod I dislike the shorter reach. If you guys know how to use the OC please do tell. If I still don't like it I will likely just go back to my beloved Ice storm.

Compact feed valves: I really like taking the range mod for a good balanced build, but that's about as far as I got. I also enjoy taking one ammo mod, but I'm sure I could go without it.

Sticky additive: Not much to say here. I used it thinking I might like it but was left unimpressed.

All right, that's all. When I was a green beard i didn't really like the CRSPR but now I do!

my go to flamer build is
2,1,3,3,1 compact feed valves
works well with heat or damage but I prefer damage and has plenty of ammo for indiscriminate incineration

I haven't really used sticky additive much myself, seems really underwhelming especially vs it's other clean OC

for face melter I run: no, no, no, no, and no

I have two facemelter loadouts:
22332 FM flamer with 12111 tranq subata
21332 FM flamer with 31231 overcharger epc, might try 21132 FM on this again though

I use 11332 Face Melter with 21213 Blistering Necrosis. It is rough having to choose between range and mag size. Personally I take the upgraded mag size and use the wave cooker for range

11311 CFM was my go to build for CRSPR for a long time, it's an unparalleled swarm killer that lasts for ages with huge mag size and ammo reserves. recently tho ive been trying 22221 for a more unique hybrid build

honestly i think CRSPR should get more ammo at baseline, it's not fair it only starts with 300 whilst the cryo gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 500 at base (yes i know cryo fires faster, not an excuse it's still way too much). CRSPR pretty much needs at least 1 ammo mod or CFM to not constantly run dry and even then it feels like it runs out too quickly

crispr is very strong and then it isn't because it's ammo dry, yeah
I really liked playing around Sticky Flames initially but that niche feels like it's better covered by Cryo/Sludge so I only really get mileage out of it in point extraction when you can afford to be conservative and kite around the flames since enemies never leave you alone and can frequently blob up on specific players
Full heat/rof FM works for Sabotage pretty handily, since you can afford to spend all of your secondary/c4 on the caretaker's eye and ration all your crispr ammo on patrolbots/shredders/tentacles

I've got 2 sticky additive builds that I have been going back and forth on with testing and what feels right that might interest you:
22122 Sticky with a Subata 32211 Oversized Mag
23232 Sticky with a Wave Cooker 13113 Mega Power Supply

Compact feed valves is a personal favorite of mine, great ammo and sustain. I use T1 range most of the time, T2 damage, T3 ammo, T4 fear and T5 Radiance.
Fear is honestly super underrated on flamer. It applies the chance every time you hit an enemy, and while the chance itself is low (20% but often reduced to 10% by many grounded enemies like grunts), the chance is rolled every time you hit an enemy directly, and factoring in the penetration it allows you to put a lot of distance between you and the crowd. People make the argument that it messes up heat spreading, but heat spreading is pretty much redundant on flamer as you already inflict so much heat anyway, have penetration to spread it and enemies which heat spreading is good for (grunts and slashers) will always die to ignition regardless.
Also wanna say that I tried that one Range balanced oc on a Sabotage mission today and I liked it alot more than I thought I would. Love your posts man, its good to shed the light on many underrated OCs (and upgrades too).

They might not be the most meta, but its what I play:

Sticky fuel (22331): this its the build I usually run on an "ordianary" mission, I never pick ammo mods, but, for this build, flames last enough in the floor (for me), and I feel like I dont need any crowd control mods since, grunts on the burn theyll die sooner than you expect, bigger things may need to be set on fire again yeah, just do it,/burn around the floor while you kite/bunny hop.

Face melter (21331): I mostly only use this build for dreadnoughts mission with pubs since, I know that if I pick cryocannon my teams mates (pubs) wont allow me to freeze them so. I would consider changing last mod, thats up to you.

Fuel stream diffusres (22331): This one it's specifically made to fight against robots/nemesis, the extra range allows you to shoot from far, at safe distance, or if they are moving you much, youll be able to hit/burn em. Also, the extra ammo mag helps way a lot on burning things.

About secondary weapons, I cant recommend you since I only use epc. And imho, on fighting its definetely not the best paired with flamethrower. Anyways what I use:

Energy rerouting (21122): Everything its on ammo efficiency since, I mostly use it as a tool and, with the combo shoot I take grunts, with two of em I can take guards/slashers (I hardly ever do normal shoots, unless my mates are close/covering me and Im afraid I might blow myself or do friendly fire, against some ranged enemies, you get it).

I use a boring 22311 Compact Feed Valves build.
Works well for most stuff and is fairly efficient so i didn't bother changing it.

As secondary ofc i use the Wave Cooker

I also like a 22311 setup, with the Face Melter. Prefer to compensate the range rather than the mag size, you set stuff on fire real quick and the fear keeps a lot of the damage off you in crowds, while the burn does its work.
You mostly save the direct damage for large targets or emergencies, so the low mag size is less of an issue. Still pretty thirsty for ammo.

I mainly used flamethrower vs rivals in Season 2, before I swapped to sludge pump near full time. Hence I've picked heat in T2.

2-2-3-2-1 Compact Feed Valves

Yea that wroks too but for large targets i use the Wave Cooker POP!
So i don't really need that much direct damage from my flamethrower.
Just heat ammo and fear.

Capacity/Damage/Ammo/Ammo/Heat Radiance (can't remember the tier #s atm) with Face Melter is my favorite for the flamer. The short range of the flame stream on this build compliments the 5m heat radiance nicely encouraging you to play risky up close for maximum damage output.
thanks guys! Though, I was wondering whether or not you guys preferred T2 A or T2 B? So I'd assume the extra heat allows for easy combos and heat synergies and some CC, while damage is good for dps.

I personally just prefer raw dps as I have heat radiance to inflict lots of heat for combos anyway, which doesent scale with the heat mod. If im playing rival pressence though then yeah heat for nemesis (its not mandatory on sabo though tbh)
