Too much enemy, too little ammo?
Wouldn't it be nice if there is a perk like vampire but instead of giving you health it gives you nitra?

Honestly, no, I think it would be too strong. On higher difficulties you are supposed to haul ass , get what you need and leave. If you want to stroll around more, a lower difficulty does the trick. And there you dont really have ammo problems, unless you just waste it at every turn.

You do know you can get more ammunition by calling in supply drops, yes? Collect 80 nitra (the red stone stuff), press 5 to select the resupply pod and press RMB anywhere.

I've never really had the need to leech ammunition unless the mission is going really badly as it is, in which case a Doom-like ability to gain ammo from kills is unlikely to save you anyway.

Well I guess since he asks for an ability to give extra Nitra, I'm guessing he is aware of the Ammo Drop. But as you said, there's always enough Nitra on the map. Sometimes there's alot and you can order like 5 drops, sometimes its barely enough for 2, but it's always there.
And if you have very little Nitra it's a sign to start speeding up anyway and to get out asap.

I believe he wants the Nitra for the weapon drops. So yes, he knows about them.

Managing your Ammo Is one of the Key Elements of DRG - having good aim, saving your ammo, and simply pickaxing the pinkies are all good sklls to have- I'm always uneasy and anxious until I get that first 80 Nitra, and am giddy when you find two Nitra patches in the first cave

Some of the more Interesting Missions have been when I've been Low on Ammo though, 1/2 a clip on your primary, 5 shots Left on your Pistol- then you find that Nitra Chunk, call Molly and deposit as a Swarm comes - further dodging as you wait for the Supply Pod to drop, dodge again as you try to reload- then BAM- Eat It you Punk Bugs !!

Ammo is rarely a problem even up to haz 4. I have only done one haz 5 game so I can't speak for haz 5.

Ammo only becomes an issue if you are doing bad, i.e. getting bogged down by enemies to the point where you are unable to explore the cave to get nitra you need for ammo. This means your team is ineffective and cannot withstand haz 4.

A lot of haz 4 games you have time to search the caved and gather all the resources you need but only if you are effective killing machines that can sniff out nitra as needed.

Well... there is an anomaly that causes enemies to drop gold upon death. Maybe you could have one that causes them to drop nitra instead?

It would be nice to have a new perk that makes resupplies give you more ammo for everything except for the weapons. Drillers would be full with one supply, platforms galore and C4/Shields would go back pre-nerf with such a perk. Maybe with that you'll stop seeing gunners that refuse to put ziplines because "I only have two left" and ends up not using a single one.

I don't think too many enemies are an issue. I think the issue is unlucky spawns. One time I had 2 back to back swarms and a dreadnought right after. That was just poor luck. Maybe you have experienced the same. I don't know how long you have been playing but I have some advice if you'd like that worked for me fren.

Tip: If you are worried about the amount of ammo, esp. prepping for spawns remember that environmental hazards are your friends. Use them. In fungus bogs or magma core with those exploding plants? Use them during swarms. gather your team into a tunnel where the plants are. Even though it is a tight space, you will save yourself ammo assuming you can time the explosions well and be aware of where your team stands.

Spatial awareness of your team can also help you conserve ammo. If driller is using their flamethrower and it has some range or they're right on the frontline, don't shoot. Wait and hear for how your team is doing on ammo until you may choose to use yours. Ask your gunner to throw up a zipline somewhere to help gain time to aim at glyphids better.

I also suppose equipping mods that increases your clip size could help you.

Ammo is very rarely ever a problem as it is.
I like that it isn't 100% guaranteed that you will always have enough to complete the mission. The occasional stress of running low and then finally getting some ammo is awesome.
