Deep Rock Galactic
Best Beginner-ish Primary, Secondary for Solo Industrial Sabotage : No Overclocks
I'm around 90 missions in, and the next thing I'll be attempting is Industrial Sabotage, solo, for the first time. Completing this mission unlocks assignments for several key weapons (Drak, BRT, LOK, EPC), as well as core reward missions.
I can't decide what class to take between Scout (M1000, GK2, Boomstick, crossbow), Engineer (Warthog, PGL or Breach Cutter, Shard Defractor) and Gunner (Minigun, Autocannon, Hellfire, Bulldog, Coil Gun).

Thanks and Rock and Stone!

Honorable Mention: Pickaxe Power Attack
Phenir: I just read your reply and made my decision probably 30 minutes prior to your post, but this is exactly what I did. I unlocked the Shard Diffractor just last evening and hadn't used it...but when looking for solo run videos on YT, I saw ReepeeRon's recent video (though overclocked) and that made me decide to give the SD a try.
So today I did a salvage mission with the setup, on Haz 3 and liked the Warthog/Shard combo.
Right after I finished the salvage mission, I jumped into a Haz 2 solo Industrial Sabotage attempt. I'd watched many videos but never done one of these missions.
Since I didn't know how much ammo I'd use, I took time to explore most of the cave and tunnel system; it was pretty complex. The first hacking terminal was miles from the target point, so I actually took the time to tunnel through a nearby wall to greatly cut down on the distance.
The Shard D worked great for all of the robot targets prior to the Caretaker, as well as for any big bugs. I thought I'd be using this 100% against the Caretaker but it was too slow to refire for the vents, and the Warthog worked fine for this. The turrets did their job well, and I actually ignored or just dodged the tentacles, and focused on the Caretaker, reloading the turrets and hitting red sugar or resupply when needed.
In total, I gathered over 450 units of nitra, also completed the secondary, and it took me a little over an hour for this first go. I never went down, but my palms were sweating a little in during that final fight.
So, the Engineer, Warthog, Shard Diffractor and Proximity Mines worked out very well. I know the Gunner class would do well as a beginner solo run for this mission too, but I'm more comfortable with the set of tools the Engie has, and that swayed me in the end. I picked the Shard Diffractor, because it has more ammo than any of the other single target weapons I have unlocked for the Class.

I now have much more content unlocked.
Thanks for all the insight all, and Rock and Stone!
