title says all point extraction is still the worst mission type and almost unbeatable solo as you have about twelve seconds to do anything before having to fight another half swarm we can only hope another update will fix this mission type

One small issue is rockpox I think I forgot to mention that in my comment because I was mad but rockpox makes it very very difficult maybe bosco being a better vaccum would help idk

Be quicker in either of the options.
Dig the aquarqs out quicker (driller/better methodes).
Kill the bugs quicker.
Or be quicker than the bugs.


If you rush, you can do solo most PEs on <10min.

Point Extraction is one of the fastest missions to solo, you can trivialize it as scout or driller. "have to fight every 12 seconds" is an exaggeration, or indicates that you haven't done enough "skill building" as you yourself put it so be able to take care of a couple enemies.

As for rockpox I myself soloed it before I realized Bosco could clean it (very early days), and any time I've tried it since Bosco has been a cleanup champ.

Try more "skill building", or play in a team.

I failed this mission horribly with Scout (Cryo minelets + Deepcore) - I had 1x RockPox i needed to clear , but even with Bosco the amount of swarms coming in Haz4 was too much for me to handle.

The amound of bugs was impossble to kill with Scout - that when i was done with 1 swarm the next startet.

I probably could have handled it with Driller, Engineer or Gunner - but scout is just so damn weak.

Why did you use the primary that has no way to hurt groups?

Last night when I did a lithophage event I had it done in no time thanks to Bosco. I think you can still manually tell him to vacuum if you want him to stop doing something else.

M1000 has blowthrough, DRAK can either use splash damage or for example the spread from OPA.

Beyond that you could use the crossbow, taser bolts are awesome for dealing with groups (especially in solo since everything comes toward you in a nice group when kiting).
