From my own experience it's literally as simple as 'connect your keyboard and mouse to the console'. It should give you a prompt about the devices being connected (you can even use the keyboard to navigate the PS5 home screen). It should literally Just Work(tm).
It might depend on your keyboard/mouse if it 'just works'(tm) or if you need to do some fiddling; mine, for example, won't work on PS5 for some reason unless I set the keyboard to bios/legacy mode (Corsair K65 LUX btw) but it works fine in-game once you do that. My mouse (a Logitech G502) just works(tm) with no extra steps.
Words of wisdom:
the PS5 version does support key remapping on a keyboard/mouse HOWEVER, for some reason some inputs/prompts are hard-coded on the PS5 version (last I played).
For example: you can press '5' on PC to immediately swap to a supply drop item to call a resupply, but on PS5 you have to double-tap '4' to get the item (I think this is a holdover from how you have to double-tap the class item button on a controller to get a resupply pod item).
The key for changing direction on a zipline is also hardcoded and COMPLETELY different to on PC and idk why.
Otherwise everything else you can remap however you want, from my experience. Maybe they fixed this since I played a few months back but idk lol.
