What is wrong with your discord moderation team?

Joined the discord to a lively discussion pre-release about the metric vs imperial system. Given we're all bored and waiting any "news".

Some mod goes on a power trip and decides they don't like it, starts removing discussion and timeing out people left right and centre.

I post https://steamcommunity.com/app/548430/discussions/1/1736588252388724705/ which shows the community having genuine interest in a voice line re the imperial system, and what looks like an official officers response clarifying the canon around the preferred system, and got immediately banned for 30 minutes for "ignoring warnings".

I am so f*ing sick and tired of people deciding they are not moderators of rules, but moderators of any and literally all content, with the highest possible treason being disagreement or, worse, highlighting a ridiculous over-reach for the embarrassment that it is. I am so, so tired of "Community" groups being taken over by such pettiness.

I feel there are some things I need to clear up with you.

1. A timeout is a temporary mute. It's not a ban. You have not been banned.
   
2. I am not the one who gave you the timeout.
   
3. However, I am the guy that took time out of his day to investigate it, so I am a bit hurt by your report.
   
4. I am also the guy who has access to the logs of our Discord server, and that tells me this. You got a 5 min timeout at 10.44 AM UTC+1 telling you not to be off-topic in the DRG-specific channel. 7 minutes later, 10.51 AM UTC+1 you were still going on and received a 24h mute for not following the moderator's directions.
   
5. Not sure why you think you have a "right of reply". I stated the facts (see above) and closed the thread, as there really wasn't anything more to discuss. You got a warning (documented) and didn't follow it, so you got a longer mute.
   
6. Finally, did you even bother to read the steam post you linked to? It does not in any way show "genuine interest" in the discussion, and neither contains any clarification in regards to the canon around it. If it's not obvious that it's a joke, it's stated a few posts down that it's a joke. Did you miss that? I can't really see why you would since the entire thread is 1,5 pages long and was locked due to the discussion it fostered. A discussion you felt like re-igniting on Discord? Are you even surprised at the outcome?
