Progression still garbage?
To this day it seems nothing has been added to the progression system(s) in Deep Rock Galactic.

There is barely any form of strengthening your characters beyond the first few hours of leveling each.

This game could use a little love in the progression department...and I am not talking cosmetics(enough of this crap).

Update:

Summary of the responses: Yes. Progression is still garbage. There is very little reason to play this game beyond the first 10-20 hours unless you like farming cosmetics.

A hateful community that really shows how biased and childish they can be to anyone that doesn't sing praises for Deep Rock Galactic in their little echo chamber.

Have you tried completing weapon assignments and buying upgrades for your weapons?

Yes. All upgrades, weapons & passives unlocked. What's left? Why continually prestige for cosmetics?

I guess the main issue is...where is the motivation to continue on after you have everything (beyond cosmetics) unlocked? What am I supposed to be working for?

All games have an end to their progression tree. DRG is no different. If you don't like this, go play a new game for a while

Overclocks is the end game progression. What would you want beyond that?

When you prestige a character gain some form of a boost to your character? 5% HP, 5% damage, additional perk slot on the 5th prestige.

Something to keep you going.

Allowing further stat progression would also require higher difficulties to prevent the game from becoming a cakewalk, and that’s probably not gonna happen since it would further divide the playerbase.

The game’s already got a solid 100+ hours of progression, even 30 hours if you only ever play one dwarf. After that, you can leave, satisfied that you’ve maxed out all your dwarves, OR stick around and enjoy the actual focus of the game: The procedurally generated missions that are never the same and full of surprises each and every drop.

Nothing, you play it because it's fun.

If you want to grind instead, there are countless of other games that do this well enough.

If the current progression in the game doesn't keep you going then neither will some stat boosts (which would make the game either extremely easy, or require there to be even more hazard levels which players really can't get into until they've prestiged several times over).

If you're not enjoying the game after getting all overclocks then it's time to move on to another game. You've played several hundred hours by then. I'm sure you can find another game that has endless progression and motivation.

The game doesn't need to be easier.

Not what I'm asking for.

Asking for +90% HP or +90% damage sure sounds like making it easier.

That would just power creep the end game. Prestige should never give other players a benefit over the other.

If you've gotten every ounce of fun out of a game, take a break or move on. Some games are more "infinitely replayable" than others, and thats fine.
