Friends: One for All? (Matchmaking)
DRG is great. It's place as one of the most popular PC games currently is well deserved. That being said; no proper matchmaking why?

My main complaint is that when I invite someone on my friends list to join me in a game, this seems to open my game up to drop in from ANYONE on my friends list. So when I've been waiting all day to play with one specific person, that gets kinda ruined when a third player joins halfway through the mission. Pretty much every other game I've played gives players the option to make their match invite only.

Also, if I want to join a game one of my friends is hosting I have to alt+tab to steam and join them from my friends list because there's no-where on the rig where I can see what my friends are up to.

There is a "hide from your friends" checkbox in the options - privacy menu.

Also not sure what happens if you set yourself to invisible or offline on your steam list after inviting said friend, I'd give that a go as well.

As far as I know if someone on your friends list is currently hosting a game that you can join then it will be highlighted in the server list alongside the rest of the lobbies available. Though I'm not sure if it will still show up on the list if the game is set to friends only.

I think he's saying it's his other friends who are crashing the party.

Pretty sure there is a checkbox for "private game" though isn't there? Wouldn't that make it by invite only? I honestly don't know, I don't host much.

Alternative: Once you have added your friend to the match and if you want to play with them exclusively, keep Friends only toggled and sign out of Steam Friends and Chat. Ask your friend to do the same or their friends will be able to join the match as well.

The only checkbox in the esc menu is for setting your lobby to friends only, but you can set your lobby to be hidden from friends already playing the game in the privacy options. All that does though is hide your lobby from the server list.

Well this is why I have so limited friendlist. I dont have those whom I would not play anyway.

Sounds like the answer would be for both of you to "appear offline" so you can have your secret rendezvous.
