Mineral mania for minerals.
I'll never advocate being a mooch, but joining games in progress several mintutes in ensures you're not waiting idle in lobbies while joining 2-3 dwarf games means more eyes gathering minerals. Choose a class that can help expedite the mission completion rather than doubling up, For instance if they lack a scout and there's stuff to collect, bring a Scout. If they lack a driller, bring that if it means you can get to minerals and objectives faster.
1) Double mods missions
2) mineral mania
3) missions where magnite is present (need an absurd amount of it)
Play coop not solo, and yeah missions in progress can speed things up too. Good luck!
Elf spotted.
99% of players have no issues with late joiners; the rest (1%) are cringe.
You could always do the role-play of being a confused venerable elder.
Play with players who are not blind, if you play with a team that consantly gets very few minerals. Or you see players walk past minerals, make note of those players and leave the lobby if they are still present for the next game.
Lots of players dont mine half of the minerals present in a map, and some others clean the cave in below average times. Its up to you who you want to spend your time with, if you are going for a goal in a hurry.
Look in every corner, and learn to look left and right fast in corners and below elevations when decending. Most players walk right past minerals, and you have to train yourself to spot them when going fast. Make full use of terrain traversal tools, so you can get to little platforms and use your map to spot hidden places. Minerals dont often spawn in front of your nose ;)
Play scout if you want to get everything faster.
Escort duty tends to have the fewest minerals while also being capped at how short a mission can take. Because of the speed of the drill. Skip this mission unless you feel like playing it a lot.
Industrial Sabotage and Deep dives are missions you should avoid as well.
On-Site refinery missions are random with mineral spawns but tend to be below average.
IF you have Mineral mania on this type of missions, they do pay off a lot.
Mining Expedition is random with mineral spawns, but you always get atleast a decent amount. Lenght of the mission makes higher spawns more likely, but does not guarantee anything other than it taking longer. So its probabaly better to do shorter missions here.
Point Extraction minerals realy depends on cave size, bigger is better. And with a good team its easy to finish fast.
Egg Hunt, Salvage Operation and Elimination have the highest overall mineral spawn. Play longer missions for minerals as much as 300+, for a bonus with hazard level of 500-700 minerals.
This does not always happen, especialy with small maps or if you have bad luck. But its the highest chance to get large amounts. Make sure to play these missions a lot if the caves are big, and missions are long. They are your highest payoff mission types.
Good luck unlocking those overclocks, i hope you succeed :)
Think mining mission is best. Coridors are narrow and linear while ceiling more often than not is lower than in other missions so team is less likely to miss mineral veins or battery/helmet blips.
