As for the bug in solo play thing, the only time I ever feel like there's too many of them is when I'm on Scout soloing Haz 4 and above. He just doesn't have the firepower/ammo to do it.
And bug spawns are heavily reliant on your chosen hazard. If there's too many for you to handle, lower the difficulty.
i can handle them, the problem is the time between wave is too short ! I couldnt hear that damn pulsing noise.Because If it wasnt a cluster that spawned it was wave and when it wasnt a wave it was a cluster.
Or, honestly, if it gets to be too much of a problem, just forget about it. There will always be another one.
Perhaps a sphere would be better. Perhaps the spawn locations should have to test to see if there's a valid path to the device. This would stop ones that generate inside other objects.
unless you're in point extraction, you have at least 4-5 minutes between each swarms.
It was exactly the mode i was playing in ! I never knew the rules were different for a point extraction map, now i know.
I was wondering if that might be the case from your description of the swarms. Yeah, the bugs in PE come more frequently as time passes. At around 15 or 20 minutes, they're pretty much constant. So you generally want to get in and out ASAP. If there's something like a machine event, you probably want to do it right away (before the swarms ramp up), or just forget about it.
It's normal ambient and swarm conditions until you start the refining, then it turns to mild swarm condition during the refining (somewhere in between ambient and swarm), then finally to full on swarm conditions until you launch and extract.
