Missing battery for cargo crate and other problems with the game.
I could not find the second battery for 2 cargo in a row

It would be so awesome if i didnt have to waste my time searching for a battery that as bugged..oh wow a bug ! WHO KNEW.

There is way to much bugs spawing in solo play, i never had the time to try to listen to the wonderful ''pulsing'' noise because it was muffled with the incessant noise of gunfire and bug dying and explosions.

The cargo crate mini-game needs a rework

Kill bugs faster and Marco-Polo harder.
I haven't seen batteries outright not spawning in my 500 hours of play, BUT, they do on occasion spawn somewhere extreme cursed. Like in a ceiling. In my experience there's this radius that they can spawn in, and that includes other rooms if they are close enough.

As for the bug in solo play thing, the only time I ever feel like there's too many of them is when I'm on Scout soloing Haz 4 and above. He just doesn't have the firepower/ammo to do it.

Never couldn't find both batteries, but as Wakipai said they can spawn in some seriously nonsense locations..

And bug spawns are heavily reliant on your chosen hazard. If there's too many for you to handle, lower the difficulty.

i can handle them, the problem is the time between wave is too short ! I couldnt hear that damn pulsing noise.Because If it wasnt a cluster that spawned it was wave and when it wasnt a wave it was a cluster.

The battery was almost certainly there somewhere (I've never had one that wasn't there). As noted above, the batteries will be within a certain distance of the crate, but they could be in a different room or tunnel. If you find a crate or battery and don't see the other parts nearby, it can help to set a waypoint (use the laser pointer and press E). That will show as a blue mark on the terrain scanner, and you can use that for reference while checking nearby tunnels or rooms.

Or, honestly, if it gets to be too much of a problem, just forget about it. There will always be another one.

The thing is, I think the spawn area is a cylinder, so a lot of really oddball places are valid, including at the very top and very bottom of the world.

Perhaps a sphere would be better. Perhaps the spawn locations should have to test to see if there's a valid path to the device. This would stop ones that generate inside other objects.

unless you're in point extraction, you have at least 4-5 minutes between each swarms.

It was exactly the mode i was playing in ! I never knew the rules were different for a point extraction map, now i know.

I was wondering if that might be the case from your description of the swarms. Yeah, the bugs in PE come more frequently as time passes. At around 15 or 20 minutes, they're pretty much constant. So you generally want to get in and out ASAP. If there's something like a machine event, you probably want to do it right away (before the swarms ramp up), or just forget about it.

Does the liquid morkite mission have the same kind of swarm timer as PE, or is PE unique?
Waste_of_skin Jun 13, 2022 @ 7:46pm
PE is unique. There is no timer in refining, but you get more or less continuous bugs once you start the refining process, until you leave (with sort-of breaks when the pipes break, and a lot of the bugs are focused on them).

It's normal ambient and swarm conditions until you start the refining, then it turns to mild swarm condition during the refining (somewhere in between ambient and swarm), then finally to full on swarm conditions until you launch and extract.

In my experience the sound of the batteries are easier to make out with headphones or speakers with a good low end.
