And yeah, I have 5 million creds lying around with absolutely no use except playing music on the jukebox or tipping Lloyd.
With all of that said, though - I'm not opposed to Gold generating more Credits. It often feels like we spend an hour digging it out only to walk away with less money in Gold than mission objectives. Getting it down to one pickaxe hit to break is also an absolute must. I'm honestly not a fan of any resource taking multiple pickaxe hits to break. I understand it for terrain, but for resources... just make larger clumps requiring fewer hits and with a larger carve area. The look and feel of mining is part of the allure.
I don't like the 1 hit idea myself, I enjoy the crafting minerals requiring more hits because it feels like I'm putting the work in and getting something for it. Only reason I don't obsessively mine gold is because it doesn't feel rewarding enough.
Mission objectives could pay less while the payout for gold goes up, along with more incentives to actually collect credits.
It's truly amazing how you guys never stop to consider the fact that some people are playing purely for XP/assignments/cores and dgaf about gold because we have enough already.
There are a lot of high level players that have no need of gold anymore and thus have decided that no-one else needs it either. They'll either straight up run past it or use explosives on it vastly reducing the amount people get. It's annoying as ♥♥♥♥.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But also: in most cases running another mission yields more credits per minute spent. If gold was say doubled in value more players might go for it.
Explosives don't reduce any amount of minerals.
Where did this myth come from?
Mine or die
Because OCD is a mental disorder, and I do not have that.
I have lived this dream, it was euphoric. Brought in 22k at the mission end IIRC.
Happened to me a few times, it's always a great feeling.

Double Gold's value and make it 1 hit so I actually get excited seeing gold.
